Zinzan Brooke is regarded as one of the best rugby players of all time. He played number eight for New Zealand during one of their most dominant periods, and played 58 tests for them, plus 42 non-international games for the All Blacks.

Despite playing in the scrum, his running and kicking skills were considered the equal of any back player. He once kicked a 48-metre drop-goal during a World Cup match, one of three he scored in test matches.
