Arthur Antunes Coimbra, better known as Zico, was born on March 3, 1953 in Rio de Janeiro.
Zico is widely regarded as the greatest Brazilian to never win the World Cup. Zico is considered by many as the world's best player of the late 1970s and early 80s. His incredible playmaking abilities and free-kick specialty set him apart from everyone else.
Zico scored 48 goals in 71 official appearances for Brazil between 1976-1986. He is still the fifth highest goalscorer for his national team.
Zico represented Brazil in the 1978, 1982 and 1986 World Cups.
In 1999, Zico came 7th in the FIFA Player of the Century grand jury vote, and in 2004 was named in the FIFA 100 list of the world's greatest living players.
