  4. Transfer Deadline Day: Our favourite last-minute signings

Transfer Deadline Day: Our favourite last-minute signings

With only hours to go in this year’s Premier League transfer window- we’re looking back at some of the greatest signings that went to the wire…

Carlos Tevez - Corinthians to West Ham

One of the most bizarre signings that took place on deadline day in 2006, was the dual signing of Carlos Tevez and Javier Mascherano to West Ham. Mascherano didn’t live up to expectation at the club, and soon moved to Liverpool- but Tevez soon became a club legend. With only a few games left in the season and West Ham sitting in the relegation zone, Tevez almost singlehandedly saved the club from relegation after scoring seven goals in 10 games- including one on the very last day of the season.

Wayne Rooney- Everton to Manchester United

In 2004, 18-year old Wayne Rooney became the most expensive teenager in Premier League history when he made the move from boyhood club Everton to Manchester United for £20 million- but soon proved he was w

  8. Gordon Banks OBE

Everyone at Exclusive Memorabilia is extremely saddened to hear that Gordon Banks OBE passed away on Monday night at the age of 81. We were lucky enough to meet and work with the English legend on many occasions. He was a true gentleman and an excellent representation of the game.

Gordon was born in Sheffield on December 30th, 1937. In 1958, he made his professional debut with Chesterfield where he had played in the youth team for the previous 5 years. Gordon was then sold onto Leicester City in 1959, where he went on to play 293 times for the club and win the League cup.

In 1963 Gordon made his international debut with England against Scotland. After he impressed new manager Alf Ramsey, Gordon became first choice goalkeeper for England as the team looked towards the next World

  10. Six Nations Championship 2019

The Guinness Six Nations Championship kicks off on Friday 1st February 2019, with France taking on Wales.

The rugby tournament first started off as the Home Nations in 1883 with only England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland taking part. In 1910 came the introduction of France to the competition and with it a new name-Five Nations. It wasn’t until 2000 when Italy was added to the list of teams competing did it become the Six Nations as we know it. Played annually, each team plays every other team once- making a total of 15 incredible games for us to watch!

The first game for each team is critical, as the outcome could set the tone for the rest of the championship. View the full fixtures list here.
