Christopher (Kit) Catesby Harington was born on 26th December 1986 in West London. At eleven years of age, his family moved to Worcestershire where he completed his education, before returning to London at the age of eighteen to study at the Central School of Speech and Drama. While still studying, Harington was cast as Albert in the National Theatre's adaptation of Warhorse which gained critical acclaim and won two Olivier Awards.
In 2011, Harington was cast as Jon Snow in the HBO series "Game of Thrones". This role catapulted Harington to worldwide fame and the show gained great praise. Throughout the show's eight seasons, Harington was nominated for a Saturn Award and a Primetime Emmy, and reportedly became on of the highest paid actors on TV.
Alongside starring in Game of Thrones, Harington appeared in a number of films and TV shows including "Silent Hill: Revelation 3D", "Pompeii" and "How to Train Your Dragon 2". He has also joined the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Dane Whitman in "Eternals" which grossed $402m worldwide.
