Philip William Daniels was born on 25th October 1958 in Islington, London. After attending Rutherford Comprehensive School in Paddington, Daniels trained at Theatre School and went on to make numerous appearances in film and TV series.
He landed the lead role of Jimmy Cooper in the 1979 film "Quadrophenia" opposite Leslie Ash. The film received overwhelmingly positive reviews and is now regarded a cult classic and one of the best films of all time. Following Quadrophenia, Daniels continued to have a busy acting career and has made appearances in 12 further films and made countless TV appearances.
Daniels is also a musician and formed new wave band "The Cross" with fellow actor Peter Hugo Daly. He also narrated tracks for Blur including "Parklife" which won two Brit Awards and went platinum.
