Dennis Bergkamp is an Arsenal legend who is widely acclaimed as one of the greatest players to ever grace the Premier League.

Between 1995 and 2006 the brilliant ‘No.10’ scored 120 goals in 423 appearances for the Gunners, creating countless others with moments of technical excellence.

Bergkamp won three Premier League titles and has four FA Cup winners’ medals on his mantelpiece. Earlier on his career he helped Ajax win the Eredivisie, the UEFA Cup and the European Cup Winners’ Cup, and at Inter Milan he added to that haul with another UEFA Cup triumph.

Playing just in behind Thierry Henry in the never-to-be-forgotten 2003-04 season, the Dutchman will always be remembered as one of the club’s ‘Invincibles’.

In 1997-98 after inspiring the Gunners to a famous Double, the Holland star swept the board at the end of season awards, winning the PFA Player of the Year, the FWA Footballer of the Year and Goal of the Season.

Bergkamp’s stunning spin-and-shoot goal against Newcastle United in 2002 was voted as the best goal Arsenal has scored in the Premier League.

At international level the classy forward was also a hero for Netherlands fans, winning 79 caps and scoring 37 times. Always a big game player, Bergkamp was exceptional at Euro 1992, and the 1994 and 1998 World Cup Finals.

In 2014 a statue of Bergkamp was unveiled at Emirates Stadium. Six years earlier he’d been voted the second-best Arsenal player of all time by supporters.

Blessed with outstanding natural ability, a razor-sharp football brain, a stellar technique and velvety first touch, Dennis Bergkamp is one of the most popular footballers of the modern era.
