Alexis Mac Allister was born on 24th December 1998 in Santa Rosa, La Pampa. Mac Allister started his senior career with Argentinos Juniors in 2016, winning the Argentine 2nd division in his debut season.
In 2019, Mac Allister joined Brighton & Hove Albion but was loaned back to Argentinos Juniors for one season and then to Boca Juniors the following season (where he won the 2019–20 Primera División)
Alexis had his breakthrough season for Brighton in 2021 and quickly became a fan favourite. In the 2022-23 season Mac Allister scored 10 goals, making him the clubs top scorer and helped Brighton to a 6th place finish in the Premier League (qualifying them for the Europa League.)
Mac Allister made his international debut for Argentina in 2019. He was also named in the 2020 Olympic team, playing in all group games. He was part of the iconic Argentina team that won the 2022 World Cup and he assisted a goal in the final against France.
After an impressive World Cup campaign Mac Allister signed for Liverpool in January 2023 on a five-year contract.
