OVERVIEW
This photograph was signed by England's greatest ever goalkeeper, Gordon Banks on May 20, 2015, in Stoke. It captures the moment when Banks pulled off what was described as "The Greatest Save Ever" at the 1970 Mexico World Cup. Pele had directed a powerful header on goal which looked destined to hit the back of the net, when somehow Banks dived low to his right and scooped the ball over the bar. To this day Pele still cannot believe how he didn't score – the reason was simple: Gordon Banks.
